Wings of Fire: Book 1: The Dragonet Prophecy by Tui T. Sutherland is about five dragonets, Clay, Tsunami, Glory, Starflight, and Sunny, who have a wonderful destiny: to end the war between the seven dragon tribes. They have been chosen by a mysterious prophecy, which tells of their magnificent deed of choosing the next SandWing queen after twenty years of war. But Glory isn’t part of the prophecy, and when their guardians plot to kill her, Clay rushes to the rescue and helps his friends escape from the cave they have lived in all their life.
This book has many unexpected twists and turns, and it was impossible to put down. I enjoyed this book thoroughly, from its vivid scenery to its interesting plot. It is not too long, but not a quick read either, with 304 pages. This book is for ages of around 11-14. It was written really well, and I hope the sequel is as every bit as good as the first. With that, Wings of Fire: Book 1: The Dragonet Prophecy receives a rating of:
